Common question

Do you take cases outside Aliso Viejo?

The short answer

Yes. The office is in Aliso Viejo, but Johnson Injury Law takes injury cases anywhere in Orange County, and anywhere in California and Arizona. Civil cases in the Orange County Superior Court are heard in Santa Ana no matter where in the county the injury happened, so where the office sits has little to do with where your case is decided.

One county, one courthouse

A crash in Anaheim, a fall in Huntington Beach and a dog bite in San Clemente all end up in the same building if they become lawsuits: the Central Justice Center, at 700 Civic Center Drive West in Santa Ana. That is where the Orange County Superior Court hears civil cases.

Most cases settle without a trial, and much of the work happens by phone, by email and in writing. What matters is that your lawyer knows how that courthouse and the insurers who defend cases there actually work.

Where we write about a city on its own

Some cities have enough of their own roads, hospitals and claims problems to deserve a page of their own. These are written so far:

  • Santa Ana — the county seat, home to the courthouse, and a city where most people speak Spanish at home
  • Anaheim — the largest city in the county, with the Resort district's crowds and the visitors who drive through it
  • Irvine — a city built for bikes, with the El Toro Y and the toll roads running through it
  • Huntington Beach — Pacific Coast Highway, beach traffic, and an e-bike problem the city itself has named
  • Newport Beach — the harbor, the Balboa Peninsula's e-bikes, and PCH
  • Mission Viejo — a few minutes from the office, and home to South County's trauma center
  • Aliso Viejo — where the office is
  • Fountain Valley — where Boyd grew up

If your city is not on that list, nothing about your case changes. Call anyway.

In Spanish, too

Boyd Johnson speaks Spanish fluently and handles cases in Spanish from the first call to the last. You will not be passed to an interpreter or to an assistant.

Still have a question?

Boyd answers the phone himself. The first conversation is free and obligates you to nothing.
